Chrysler Building

What is New York City without its architecture? Without the remarkable steel and concrete buildings that pierce the skies and remind us of the extraordinary labor required to build this city? Sadly, many of New York’s extraordinary skyscrapers were built and maintained through the extensive use of asbestos.

Exposure to asbestos has been shown to cause mesothelioma and lung cancer in those who came in frequent contact with the substance, which was often used in construction materials. New York mesothelioma lawyer Joseph P. Williams has spent Nearly 25 fighting for the financial security asbestos exposure victims and their families need.

IF YOU OR A FAMILY MEMBER WAS DIAGNOSED WITH MESOTHELIOMA OR ASBESTOS-RELATED LUNG CANCER, PLEASE CALL WILLIAMS LAW FIRM, P.C. TODAY AT (855) 575-6376 TO SCHEDULE YOUR FREE CONSULTATION.

A FAMOUS BUILDING, AN INFAMOUS DISEASE

Completed in 1930, the Chrysler Building is one of Manhattan’s great architectural landmarks. Built in a striking Art Deco style, the Chrysler Building was once the tallest building in the world. To this day, it remains one of the most famous.

Unfortunately, like most skyscrapers and other major buildings constructed during the 1920s and ’30s, the Chrysler Building was constructed with the aid of massive quantities of asbestos insulation.

For many years, architects and contractors believed that asbestos was the only material that could insulate these facilities and protect against fires. Any worker who participated in the construction of the Chrysler Building may have been exposed to asbestos. Because the asbestos in the Chrysler Building was not removed for decades, even workers who helped maintain the facility in the years following its completion were in danger of contact with asbestos-containing products.
